Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Suspended License and Community Service
I received 300 hours of community service and a fine for driving on a suspended license. I immediately paid the fine, got an SR-22 insurance. Ive been working on community service, but until recently could not find anyone able to give me steady work.
By the time my court date arrives I should be to 2/3 done with my hours.
What are the chances of getting a continuance now that Ive found a steady place to get my hours? Should I get a lawyer? I did not have one to begin with.

Re: Suspended License and Community Service
Well, as a practical matter, it depends on the judge. Hopefully, he or she got out of bed cheerfully that morning. It is always helpful to have an attorney. Call one!
