Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
A teenager did a hit/run on our car in the middle of the night. We just received a subpoena to testify at his trial. We didn't see anything. The court date is in the middle of our vacation. Do we have the right to ask for a different date or a deposition instead of a court appearance? This guy has already cost us a bunch of trouble and a $500 deductible (he wasn't insured); now he's going to ruin our vacation! Help!
