Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I got a texting while driving ticket. It was at a red light and my car was in neutral due to it over heats if you keep it in drive and idle for long periods of time. I was pulled over and got the ticket the officer told me the car has to be in park nothing about neutral. So i assumed i was guilty so i plead guilty and paid my ticket. Well as of today i read online that it is legal in the state of IL to be stopped with the flow of traffic and have your transmisson either in park or neutal and text. I want to fight this to get it off my record the state can keep my 75 dollar fee.

You are going to have to recall this ticket. It will cost you substantially more than $75 to do so. If you got your ticket in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, I may be able to help.
