Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
is there a time limit the police can issue a ticket i was in a car accident a week ago. initially they only gave me a seat belt ticket, cause i wasn't wearing one at the time and i was only the passenger, 3 days later i get a call from another officer and he tells me its very important he speaks with me regarding the accident, and proceeds to tell me that through their investigation they are issuing me another ticket for providing alcohol to a minor. what should i do?
