How do I deal with the opposing insurance company whose client hit my car and was ticketed for failure to yield? My car was totaled.

Trying to negotiate with a potential defendant's insurance company is akin to wrestling with a greased pig. Merely asking this question leads me to believe that you don't have the skill to achieve a satisfactory settlement. Talk to a lawyer as soon as possible. Good Luck!
