Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
traffic ticket
I recently recieved a ticket for supposedly rolling a stop sign. I got the ticket, pleaded guilty and checked the driving school option since I have never had a ticket. I received the letter back with the date and time. Then 2 days later I got a letter stating that the officer made a mistake and I have to appear in court. What mistake could she have made that would require me to go to court even though I pleaded guilty?
Thank You

Re: traffic ticket
The officer may have made a "mistake" of assessing the correct charge or violation against you. It appears that you may have to appear in court to hear what charges, if any, are still pending other than the rolling stop. You can probably negotiate a deal with the prosecutor at the hearing. You may need to contact an attorney to appear with you.
