Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Traffic Ticket
I recieved a speeding ticket back in 2002 in another county.
They are now saying I did'nt pay this fine, as to which I know I did.
The problem is I don't have a recipt for it since it was 5 years ago,
What can I do about this?

Re: Traffic Ticket
If you paid by check you could obtain a copy of the cancelled check from your bank nad provide that to the court clerk. If not, and you have no proof, then you will need to deal with the current situation. I'm surprised that they didn't put a warrant out for your arrest if they think that the fine was never paid.
