Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Traffic Tickets for same offense within 2 weeks
We received several tickets for two violations. No City Sticker and No Licence plate sticker. 5 tickets within 2 weeks of each other. We paid the orginal amounts asked which was $25-$50. But now more than a year later, the city has conducted an audit advising us we owe over $1000 in total for the 5 tickets. Should we just pay these amounts or seek an attorney?

Re: Traffic Tickets for same offense within 2 weeks
Well, you explained what two of the tickets were for, not all five. Also, what police department issued the tickets? I suppose that this would be a starting point in any discussion relative to finding a solution to your problem. Please advise.
