Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Two traffic tickets within 3 weeks Need Advise

I was cited a ticket in Lake County on 5/5/05 for running a red light. Today is 5/25/05 and I pleaded guilty and was given 60 days court supervision. Yesterday 5/24/05 in Will County (County in which I live) I was cited a ticket for speeding 57mph in a 35mph zone. I have a clean driving record with no convictions over 2 years. I am wondering how I handle the second ticket? Will I have an option for driving school? Will the first ticket go on my record if I pleade guilty? Any advice please....

Re: Two traffic tickets within 3 weeks Need Advise

Are you under 21? If you are, you should hire an attorney to make sure that you do not end up with two convictions in a 24 month period. Persons over 21 are allowed 3 convictions in a 12 month period. If you go over these limits, your driving privileges will be suspended.

Your options on the driving school will be dictated by the policy of the Will County State's Attorney's Office.
