I know: aggravating. Under our current rules of the road, if you are in the intersection waiting to turn with your turn signal on when the light turns yellow, and then red, you are supposed to complete your turn safely when it does ant that is SUPPOSED to be ok. Unfortunately the officer may not have seen in that way....so you may just have to give your version in court if you choose to have a trial. Do yourself a favor or two: (a) look up the rule in the Secretary of State's "Rules of the Road" on line, and if need be PRINT IT OUT and MEMORIZE it -- when you go to court you can then specifically recite that you know the rule (b) you should consider hiring an attorney because a moving violation plus fines, etc. will be a ding on your record AND your insurance..... and (c) if you decide on a trial DRESS UP AND CLEAN UP!!!, and (d) consider hiring an attorney because even if the officer has to testify first, YOU may not be capable of cross examining him or her.
