Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Very upset!!

I was pulled over for tinted windows not speeding or driving funny. when the officer ask for my license and regstration he smelled liquor on my breath and they charged me with DUI..I felt this was unfair

I am not sure if you really have a question or not. I would be interested in seeing what tickets the police gave you and to discuss any tests they performed to claim you were driving under the influence.

So, let me restate this, if you did not have those tinted windows you would not have been pulled over? And, if you had not been drinking before driving, the officer would not have smelled alcohol on your breath? And you feel this is unfair, how exactly? You make your own choices, e.g. tinting your car windows so darkly that the cops pull you over, and drinking before driving. The police did nothing wrong here, and you will have to live with the consequences of your own poor choices.
