Re: warrant extridition by illinois from north Carolina

The short answer is no, they typically will not pick someone up in another state when a warrant is issued for their arrest for a traffic violation. Now, if you happen to be in IL and get pulled over they will arrest you.

The longer answer is that the tickets in IL will eventually catch up with you. The next time you try to renew your license in NC (or any other state for that matter) you will not be able to because IL DMV will inform NC DMV about your warrants in IL and so NC will not let you renew your license.

You will have to eventually take care of those tickets in IL if you ever plan to renew you license again. You may be able to hire an attorney to represent you in court through a power of attorney and not have to be present for the driving while license revoked and possibly even the DWI if it was a low blow. You would want to call an attorney in IL who regularly appears in those counties and talk to him or her about your options.

Good luck,
