Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
What will happen if you drive without a license and crashed into private property causing $2000 of damage? While only having a permit.

1 Answer from Attorneys
1. If you were negligent you would be liable for the $2000 but if you have insurance that should not be an issue. If you do NOT have insurance that will be a separate issue.
2. If you were negligent you could have your permit revoked depending on "how negligent" you were.
I suggest hiring an attorney if you don't want to risk the ability to keep your permit and get your license.
