Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Will I get a ticket for this?
I was driving home from work and going through a green light. I didn t notice the camera flashing until I was already in the intersection, so I had to cross. The ambulance was three blocks away and going in the opposite direction. It was about noon and the sun was bright enough for me not to see the lights. the lights were on, but it was moving slowly, and there were no sirens. Will I still get a ticket? I can tell no one else noticed it either because several other cars kept going. I m in IL if that makes a difference. I forgot to mention that the camera (the one that goes off when you run a red) was flashing even though it was a green light. If I'd heard a siren, I would have stopped and not entered the intersection.

If you weren't already given a ticket it is unlikely that you get one. But, it's possible. If so, hire an attorney.
