my father recently died. He has a

multitude of accounts. we want to avoid

probate where possible. How do I find

out if he named benificiaries?What

information do i need so that estate can

be settled?

If your father died in Illinois with assets valued at less than $100,000, then it may be possible to settle his estate with a small estate affidavit.
