Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
Accounting of an Estate
My brother refuses to give me an accounting of my mother's estate. Can I sue him in small Claimes court ( the only account I know still had money in it and he used for things other then the estate is around $3,000)? I cannot afford a laywer at the moment so I need to do this by myself.

In order to maintain an action in small claims court, you should have information as to the asset/value you are seeking.
You might want to check with your county bar association to see if they have a legal assistance division to review your options and direct you.
Good luck to you.
