How do you change a trustee in a living will. Is it better to have a new durable power of attorney instead.

Living wills don't have trustees (trusts do). Practically everyone should have durable powers of attorney. Talk to an estate planning attorney directly to sort through all of the estate planning options that might be best for you.

A new power of attorney for health care should be drafted. A separate "living will" may not be needed. Talk to an attorney in your area, and review your last will and testament or living trust to determine if changes need to be made.
