Changing the names on oil & mineral rights deed of deceased party

How do i change the name on my deceased mothers oil and mineral rights deed when she did not have a living will, and about how much would it cost if i needed an attorney?

Would the attorney have to be located in mississippi where the deed originated, or can it be handled in chicago where i live?

The answer to your question will be based, in part, on the state in which your mother died.

You should re-ask your question to an attorney in that particular state, as the probate laws of each state are different.
