Re: The death of my husband
As surviving spouse, you have rights in your husband's estate. Unless your husband had a will that provided otherwise, you and your husband's children are the heirs to the estate, not his parents. You should speak to a probate attorney ASAP. If you open an estate, you can demand the items back from his parents that rightfully belong to the estate
Re: The death of my husband
need more info:
Who owned the house.
Did your husband have other assets.
Whos name was on the title of the car.
Did your husband have insurance.
Was there a will or trust.
Do you have any other information.
Your husband's relatives should not be able to take anything, unless there were special circumstances.
