Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Executor of my great aunts will is deceased and no one took on the responsibility. There is land involved and we want to elect a new executor. If we send out a letter with candidates, should the people who vote sign their name or should the vote be anonymous?

Someone should petition the court to appoint a new executor. If you desire representation for this purpose please visit www.legacylaws.com and call the number on my home page for an appointment.

Someone needs to file a petition and the persons who have to either agree or be given notice of the hearing will depend on the terms of the Will and the heirship. The consent and notice issues here can be tricky and the judge won't open the estate if everything is not done correctly. Discuss how you want to proceed and then the person who wishes to serve should contact an attorney to represent them.
