Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My father is dying and he would like me to have his truck. He lives in Arizona and I live in Illinois. We are trying to figure out what is the most cost effective way for him to give me the truck. Do I have my stepmother (who is also on the title) sell me the vehicle for a small fee? Or do I have him will me the vehicle? We are trying to figure out the least expensive and easiest way to do this before he passes so that it is one less thing my stepmother will have to worry about figuring out. Thank you

He and your grandmother can sign it over to you now. If he still needs it until his death, you can let him use it.
