Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
my father in law passed away. he was only living with his girlfriend. they bought a house but i can only find out info on the county tax assessors website that lists her name, his is no where to be found on any records. does this mean she own the house exclusively, or do we have any survivors benefits ?

The assessor's website does not necessarily show who owns the property, you need (or you need to hire someone) to check the county recorder's record.
