my father passed away in 2003, i haven't seen him in 20 years. he was remarried and had one child. how do children of his 1st marriage get a share of his estate?

If he had a Will or a Trust, you may not be eligible to receive a share of his Estate. If he had neither (or if he made a bequest to you in a Will or Trust), then you should have been notified as to what you are due. Feel free to call me to discuss this further.
