Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Found something about a will after the fact

i was sent a letter in the mail after my great aunt died asking if i wanted to contest a will. I did declined to contest and was later confront by someone close to the beneficiary that said person beneficiary had a conversation with the deceased and was supose to divide the estate up among said family members. Also I found out after that the letter I received did not state the true value of the estate. Is there any way to contest the will after the fact.

Generally the period during which you can file a will contest is within 6 months after admission of the will to probate. As for the value of the estate, that's a different matter altogether, that's not a will contest.
