Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

house

My grandmother passed away about 8 years ago. It was my understanding from my aunt that all of my grandmothers assets were transferred before her death to my aunt. Now my aunt has almost sold my grandmothers house and she needs my signature to sell the house. She had held on to the house since my grandmothers death and has rented it our most of the time; now she wants to subtract her ''losses''. I did not see any of the money from the rental. What does this mean? Do I have any legal recourse. i have not ever seen a will.

Re: house

If your aunt is asking for your signature in order to sell the house, it would seem that you have a property interest in it.

I would advise that you have a lawyer review the papers that you are being asked to sign.

Good luck to you.
