need to get house in my name

my mom passed away 6 months ago and i am her only son and i want to know how do i go by getting the house in my name

If the house is the only asset, it may be possible to obtain a "bond in lieu of probate." However, if there are other assets, her estate may need to be probated.

Regardless, it would be prudent to speak with an attorney who can advise you on how to proceed with changing the title and making sure that the estate matters are handled correctly.

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to sell it you may be able to clear it through a title company.

If you want your name on the title you need to probate it.
