Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
My husband and I recently helped his brother buy a used truck. He gave us money for the truck and we paid the remainder. He owns the truck. He lives with his girlfriend and is 63 years old. He and my husband agree if something happens to him, he wants the truck to go to us and not his girlfriend and her son. What is the best course of action to handle this? Put something in writing, have all sign it, and then get it notarized? Thanks.

Getting your names on the title would be probably the best way.
Getting your names on the title would be probably the best way. What impact would this have on your insurance risk? If your brother has an accident and you are on the title, check with your insurance carrier to see how you can cover yourselves.
