my husbands life insurance beneficiary were his children from his previous marriage. he changed it to the trust fund he prepared before he passed but the insurance company doesn't want to acknowledge that..what should I do? What legal steps should I do? And his will is stating what to do with the pay out when collected.

Why is it that they don't want to acknowledge it? Did he submit a change of beneficiary before he died? The trustee of that trust should contact an attorney to investigate whether the trust has a claim to the proceeds.

If the beneficiary is instead those children, then the Will should not dictate what to do with the payout when collected.
