I am a joint owner with my uncle on his checking account. When he dies, does the money go to me or to his estate?

Re: joint checking accounts
Generally speaking, to you, but there are exceptions and estates sometimes do argue, and occasionally prevail, that the decedent didn't intent to make a gift to the joint tenant.

There is a presumption that it is yours, however, it is possible for this presumption to be overcome if somebody challenges it.
