Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

if i was left inheratance from someone who recently passed away how will i know when i will recieve it and does the family of the person have to notify me of it or does it go through the court and that is how i recieve it

It depends. Did s/he have a Will or a Trust? If you know who is managing things, ask for the phone number of that person's lawyer. The lawyer can explain this to you.
