my legal obligation to pay

my 87 yr old mother died a month ago. what are my obligation ?she owed $2000 on her car .(paid over $20000.)can it be reposess. i can't affords one lump some.i have paid the last 4 carnotes up until her death. phone calls at 1130 at night asking for the car. i am her only heir,had poa.(2) when does poa terminate?she has a home and property.(3) can they put a lien on them??

Unless you signed the promissory note, you are not obligated to pay. On the other hand, if the payments are not made, then the lender can repossess the car. Powers of attorney terminate at death. They can only lien the real estate if they obtain a judgment against the estate.
