Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
I live in Cook county Illinois. My step dad, who had no offspring just passed away without a will. My mom passed away several years ago. Do I have any rights to the house, which I had lived in from the age of three years old to 18 years old? Or does my stepdads sister get it all?
Thanks

Sounds like you have no right to the property unless there is a will directing money to you.
Well, you said you and your mother lived in that house since you were three? When did this man become your step father? Did he definitely get ownership of your family home at any point while your mom was alive or when she died? Did he ever legally adopt you? Did he raise you as his "son"? What does your mom's will state?
There several factors that need more information. I'd recommend you speak with an attorney.
