Living Wills

In Illinois, how many witness signatures are needed on a living will? Do the witnesses have have to be non relatives, and does the instrument have to be notarized?

In Illinois, a Living Will must be witnessed by two individuals who are over the age of 18.

Such witnesses should not have an interest in the estate of the declarant, and should not be financially responsible for the declarant's medical care.

A Living Will does not have to be notarized.
