Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Mandatory Illinois fees for executorship of trust/will

Are there mandatory fees for an executorship of trust/wills in Illinois and if so are fees from attorneys, estate planners, and other professional services used deducted from their final fee? The executor is a family member and not an attorney or planner.

there is no *requirement* that the executor charge fees, nor is there a set rate other than "reasonable" (althugh some judges use a rule of thumb of some old tables 20+ years old).

Such fees are separate from those paid for attorneys, etc.

Residuary beneficiaries are asked to approve the fees. If they disagree, they have the opportunity to appear in court to protest them.
