In any event, some suggestions: If your mother had any documentation suggesting attorneys she had contact with in the past, I suggest checking with each attorney. Also, the Secretary of State's office has a will repository, but it is unlikely you would find the will there because the repository is recent and is for wills that were left with attorneys. Consider whether she may have named someone other than a child and left the will or a copy with that person. Review all places where documents may have been kept.
