If I am named executor on a Will how do I get may name removed off the Will as executor or any other compacity?

A person nominated as executor is not required to serve and cannot be

compelled to serve. You may notify the testator or alternate, if appropriate,

that you will or cannot serve. A court will not require that you serve.

If the testator is alive, you can ask the testator to remove your name. If the testator is deceased you can resign. You have no obligation to serve as executor, you have no real power to remove your name from the document.
