Obtaining Power of Attorney for Parent
I would like to know what I need to do to obtain Power of Attorney from my Mom. Her memory is bad and because of this she is loosing tons of money. She's writing checks and not, and not recording them in her book, giving away money and not remembering to whom she gave it to. The fees that her bank is charging monthly almost exceeds her social security and retirement check. Please help.

Your mother would have to execute a Power of Attorney giving you or someone else control of her finances.
