Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Parents die, who does minor child live with?

I am wondering what needs to be done so that in case my husband and I are both killed, our 9 month old daughter can legally live with a relative that we specify? What sort of will needs to drawn up for this. If nothing is specified and we both die, what happens to our daughter?

Thank you!

You need a will. It can provide for a guardian and a successor guardian for your daughter. The will can also specify that all of your assets be kept and used for your daughter's benefit.
