Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My parents in Vietnam left a will for my sister who still lives in Vietnam as sole heir to their house.

Now my sister sold the house and wants to divide the proceeds of the sale of the house and send to all the siblings who live abroad including me who live in the US. Should the money sent to me considered as inheritance from my parents or should it be a gift from my sister?

If your sister is not legally obligated to distribute any of the proceeds to you, it sounds like the intended distribution is a gift from your sister.
