Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
Power of Attorney
I have medical conditions and stress it one of the things I should avoid. I also have Contested the Will of my uncle and at this time, I am representing my self pro se. Can I execute a limited Power of Attorney, naming my wife as agent to act on my behalf to continue the litigation. I realize the first answer I will get is, It is best to hire an attorney, however, at this point that is not an option I have.

Re: Power of Attorney
Only an attorney can represent you in court. No power of attorney can give your representative that power. If your wife does not have a law license, the judge will not allow her to represent you. Your choices are that you represent yourself, hire an attorney, or drop your claim. Good luck.
