Power of attorney

Is a power of attorney still valid after the person dies. It is an all encompassing power of attorney. Example to take care of car titles, bank records, credit cards etc.

A valid power of attorney has a cut off date. Death of the person who gave you the power of attorney is a cut off date. The POA is no longer valid. You must probate the estate if property was not held jointly with you or another. If you need help, please call.

It is not. A power of attorney only allows the agent to do those things the principal could do. Once the principal passes away, there is nothing which he, and therefore the agent, can do.
