How are legal fees determined when probate work is done by paralegal rather then attorney?

Law firms have different ways of billing their clients for work performed. Generally, firms using paralegals to perform work on a matter will have a separate billing rate for the paralegal, and one for the attorney.

Unless everyone agrees to the fees, before approving attorney's fees, the probate court will review all fees and costs of the attorney representing the estate, including the paralegal's fees, to be sure that they are reasonable.
