If the "grantee" is the beneficiary of the life estate and dies, the standard life estate
is terminated. The life estate reverts to the grantor, unless the deed contains terms
which transfer the estate elsewhere.

Hard to discern what you are asking, but if the expected life tenant has passed, then title would remain unchanged unless there are contingent provisions. A review of the deed and prior chain of title should be examined to provide a firm answer.
