Question for my neighbor

My neighbor has Lou Gehrig's disease and has given power of attorney to her daughter. When she passes from her illness, since the house in her nam and her mother's boyfriend's name, would her daughter still have power of attorney over her half of the home?

The answer would be no, because a power of attorney becomes void when the principal dies.
