Re: Who may read a will?
A will becomes effective after it is properly executed (signed, witnessed, and notarized). There are no restrictions on who can read a will. A will is not filed with a the clerk's ofifce until the estate is opened.

A will is a legal document. After the testator dies, whoever has the original must file it with the county clerk. Afetr filing, it is public record that anyone can view.
