Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

real estate executor rights

as the executor of my recently deceased parents I have the job now to prepare the estate for a sale. my problem is my brother who has not paid any money towards the estate has been living there. I have now found that he has sold many valuable furnishings that belonged to my parents. My question is do I have the right to kick him out of the house as he is not a paying tenant?

You should consider going to the court and getting him out of there and preventing him from selling anything. You need to protect the estate. You may be liable for his actions if you do not.
