Selling assets from an estate
What happens when assets cannot be liquidated? We are having trouble selling a cemetery plot? Should this hold up distribution of inheritance to heirs? How long before the IRS will start taxing this estate?

You don't really give enough facts to answer your questions. It could hold up distribution. You need to speak with the attorney for the estate and a cpa regarding your tax question.
