Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

sons rights

My father passed away in august 2005. At the time he had been divorced for 8yrs but was still living with his exwife. He didn't have a will

so my sister went and got a lawyer to fight with his exwif whom is claiming his property and cars etc They have been having this case in court since then.My sister does not want to tell me anything of whats been happening and has told the lawyer which i put the money to pay him not to tell me anything. She does not want me to have any part of his property and belongigns. She has been renting my fathers house out and has recovered one of his trucks which her wn lawyer purchased from her and does not tell me anything. What can I do to at least get a part of my fathers assets which I as his son I believe I have as much right as she does .What would I need to do to be able to find out exactly whats going on with this current case with my sister vs his ex wife and how can I legally claim a part of it?

Re: sons rights

Get your own lawyer immediately. It is obvious your sister and her attorney are not going to do anything to protect your interests.
