Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Time limit and standing to contest a Will

What is the time limit to contest a will in Whiteside county, Illinois? And, would a sister have much chance, as opposed to a spouse or children of the deceased? The sister is my mother and the deceased is my aunt, her sister. My mother and my sister and brother and I are her only surviving relatives, and we were omitted from my Aunt's will. She had been influenced by 2 men who had taken over her affairs and her life in her late years. The estate was substantial as my aunt was left money and property from my grandparent and my mother would like to contest the will so that these unrelated ''caretakers'' do not inherit all of her parent's money.

Will contests must be initiated within six months of the Will being admitted to probate. Find an attorney who is experienced in the areas of will contests and speak to him or her as soon as possible.
