Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Transfer of Power of Attorney

My father had a stroke when I was 17 and now he lives in a nursing home. He signed over the paperwork for POA for Health and Estate to his younger brother even though he was not in a state to know what he was signing over.

I was basically without a home and my father's brother sent me to live with my mother's side of the family. Now that I am living with my grandmother I am turning 18 and was wondering if I could take control over my father's POA.

More importantly (financially) is that I am going to be attending college this fall and really have no money. My father's brother wont give me any money from my father's estate for my college education, and I never recieved any of my father's money to live off of. I assume I should have, but I never did.

Is there anything that I can do to get some sort of financial retribution for being shipped out away from my father?
